Here are some common issues that may occur with the E-Signature applications and the possible solutions.
Adobe service returns an error
The below error may occur if Adobe E-Sign is unable to process the PDF file sent to it:
One of the common reasons for this error is if the PDF file is over 10 MB in size (although there may be other reasons too).
If the file size exceeds 10 MB, you can try compressing the file to reduce its size (Save as Other > Reduced Size PDF in Adobe).
After the file size is reduced to less than 10 MB upload the file back into Merchant Central and try to generate the application again.
Failed to generate the PDF document
The below error may occur when generating a PDF file from the Attachments tab on your lead:

A quick fix consists of opening the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat, and then simply re-saving it. The action will refresh the PDF file structures and potentially remove any corruptions from the file.
After resaving the file, upload it back into Merchant Central and try to generate the file again.

The below error may occur when you try to generate an e-signature application, but Merchant Central has not yet been connected to the Adobe E-Sign service:
To resolve the error, contact Merchant Central support and request the e-Signature feature to be enabled for you.
