The Global Search field enables you to find specific accounts, leads, or tickets quickly and from any page in your CRM.
The field is located on the right side of the top navigation bar:
You may perform your search using any of the following methods:
- Simple Search
- Advanced Search
- Search Using Speech Recognition
Simple Search
When you click on the Global Search field the 5 most recently viewed accounts, leads, and tickets are displayed in a dropdown list:
To search for a keyword or a phrase begin typing in the search box. After you enter the first three letters the Global Search field will begin displaying results from your saved data.
The results will sort into three sections including Accounts, Leads, and Tickets:
The most viewed items will appear at the top of their respective lists, and will then sort alphabetically.
Click the VIEW MORE link at the bottom of each section in order to expand the section and view more results:
The VIEW ALL links are available in the Accounts and the Leads sections:
When you click on the VIEW ALL link in the Accounts section, you will be taken to the Viewing Merchants page which will display a more detailed report on your search request:
The VIEW ALL button in the Leads section will take you to a similar page pertaining to lead data:
Advanced Search
Clicking the triangular button at the far right end of the field will open a small dialog containing four advanced search options (with the All option selected by default):
When you select the Accounts option, a drop-down menu will automatically appear and allow you to narrow down your search by selecting a specific merchant field to look in:
When you select the Leads option, you will see four new drop-down menus appear which you may again use to narrow down your search using specific search categories:
A similar feature is available for the Tickets option as well:
Search Using Speech Recognition
To run a search using speech recognition, click on the microphone icon found next to the Global Search field:
The microphone icon will now turn red, indicating that the microphone is on, and listening for your commands:
You can now say the word "Search" followed by the search phrase.
For example, to search for the phrase "auto", say "search auto". The system will then automatically enter the word "auto" into the search field and display the matching results:
Note: When you click on the microphone icon for the first time, your browser will ask for the permission to use your microphone:
Click Allow and you will then be able to start using the speech recognition feature.
