Your CRM allows you to import leads from a CSV file in a few easy steps.
Before beginning the import process, ensure that you've saved the new lead information in a CSV file and that the field names (e.g. Contact, DBA etc.) are saved in first row of the file.
For testing purposes you can download a sample CSV file using this link: Sample_Lead_Import.csv
To start the import process click the Lead Importer option under My Leads in the navigation menu:
Next, upload your CSV file and click Save & Continue:
The lead importer mapping page is now shown where you can select the lead settings and map the CSV fields to the corresponding lead fields.
The lead settings (such as the lead category and status state, assigned users, group, campaign, and source) are located near the top of the page:
The settings that you select there will be applied to all imported leads.
To map a CSV field to a lead field, simply drag the CSV field from the left side of the screen and drop it on the appropriate lead field (or the other way around):
When you drop the CSV field, then the lead field turns green to indicate that it's been mapped.
Alternatively, you can also map a CSV field by clicking the edit icon and then searching for the lead field name:
When you finish mapping the fields, click Save in the top-right corner. A confirmation window now appears as shown in the below example:
Review your mappings and if everything looks good, click the Continue Without Saving Mapping or the Save Mapping & Continue button to move on to the next step.
Note: If you choose the Save Mapping & Continue option, then your mapping will be saved so you can use it for future imports.
The Lead Import page now opens showing the lead files in various stages of import.
Click on the Pending Import accordion to expand it:
Your new CSV file is now shown in the Pending Import section as ready to be imported into the system.
Click the Start Import icon on the far right to begin importing the lead data:
Before starting your import, you can optionally enable the email validation feature to ensure that only the leads with valid emails will be imported.
To enable email validation click the Manage Plans button.
To proceed with the import without the email validation click Import Only:
The CSV file is now moved to the import queue and you can see it in the Import in Progress section.
The import will begin automatically, typically within 10 minutes of starting the job:
When the import has completed you will receive an email and a popup notification, and the CSV file moves to the Finished Imports section:
