Contact Support to enable. Feature Code: USER_HIERARCHY
- Overview
- Prerequisites
- The User Hierarchy Dropdown
- Example: Manager Reviewing Team Leads
- User Settings: Visual Hierarchy
Overview
The User Hierarchy search feature enhances lead and merchant search and filtering by ownership. It allows you to broaden the search scope beyond the selected user(s) to include their direct reports or the entire reporting hierarchy (direct and indirect reports).
- Simplified team-based searches: Include a manager’s team without selecting each subordinate user individually.
- Flexible filtering: Choose whether to include direct reports or the full hierarchy.
- Consistent experience: The same control appears wherever you search leads or merchants by assigned user.
- Visual hierarchy: View reporting relationships on the User Settings page with collapsible levels.
Prerequisites
-
The following two permissions need to be enabled for your user class to search leads and merchants of managed users respectively.
The User Hierarchy Dropdown
When the feature is active, a new dropdown labeled User Hierarchy is available in multiple locations across the CRM, including the advanced search dialog, and the lead and merchant filters:
| Option | What It Includes |
|---|---|
| Selected User(s) | Only records (leads/merchants) assigned to the user(s) you’ve selected. |
| Selected User(s) and Direct Reports | Records assigned to the selected user(s) plus their immediate (direct) reports. |
| Selected User(s) and All Reports | Records assigned to the selected user(s), their direct reports, and all users beneath them in the hierarchy (indirect reports). |
💡"Direct reports" means users who report to the selected user(s) one level down. “All reports” includes every level below the selected user(s).
Example: Manager Reviewing Team Leads
- Open Advanced Search.
- Select your own user record (the manager).
-
Choose User Hierarchy → Selected User(s) and All Reports.
- Run the search to return all leads owned by you and everyone reporting under you (directly or indirectly).
User Settings: Visual Hierarchy
The User Settings page displays a visual, collapsible hierarchy so you can quickly see who reports to whom. Expand/collapse levels to view reporting chains.
