Quantity Based Payouts are currently available for Beta testing.
Contact Support to enable.
Your CRM provides the ability to set up bonus payouts to agents based on the number of merchant activations.
The payouts are made by adding dynamic line items to a residuals report, while the payout amounts are determined through the threshold ranges that you can configure within the dynamic line item.
For example, you can create a threshold range for making a flat payout of $100 for 0-5 merchant activations, another range to make a $50 payout for 5-10 merchant activations, and so on.
A payout can be set as flat amount payout for a threshold reached, or an aggregated payout which is calculated as the sum of all activations within a threshold range, multiplied by the dollar amount set for that range.
Once the dynamic line item is created, it can be assigned to specific users. From there, the line items are generated and added to the residuals report for a selected month and year.
The dynamic line items can also be used to impose fees or deductions by stating a negative payout amount.
Adding A Dynamic Line Item
To create a new Dynamic Line Item (DLI) navigate to Manage > Residuals > Dynamic Line Items, and click the Add New Dynamic Line Item button to open the DLI popup:
You will now need to fill in the required DLI settings and set the DLI thresholds.
Here is a description of the options and actions in the DLI popup:
- Name: The name of the DLI as it will appear in reporting.
- Note: A short text that describes the purpose of the DLI.
- Column: The residuals metric that will be used to determine the threshold ranges. Currently only the Activation Count metric is supported, but more columns may be added in the future.
- Operation: Designates the type of calculation that will be performed with the selected column. Currently only Sum is supported, but additional operations may be added in the future.
- Date Range: Select Last Month, This Month, or Last Calendar Quarter.
- Add Rule: Use this button to add an additional threshold row in the bottom table in the DLI popup.
Here is an example of a DLI configuration with three threshold levels:
In the above example, a flat payment of $100 will be made to the assigned agents who got up to 5 merchants activated last month.
A flat payment of $250 will be made to agents who got between 5 and 10 merchants activated, and a $500 payment will be made to agents that got more than 10 merchants activated last month.
The DLI also provides the ability to calculate a dynamic payout by selecting the checkbox in the Dynamic column:
If selected, the agent's payout will be calculated as the sum of activations within the current threshold range multiplied by the threshold amount.
In the above example, if a user had a total of 8 activations last month, then they would receive a $100 flat payout for the first threshold, and an additional $150 payout for the second threshold (3 activations multiplied by $50).
Once you configure your DLI options click Save and it will show up in the DLI list. From there, you can use the shortcuts in the Actions column to edit or delete the DLI:
To create a deduction DLI, simply add a negative value in the Payout amount in the DLI popup:
Note: If you add a zero value in the payout column, then no DLI will be generated in the residuals report.
Once the DLI has been saved, it's time to assign it to agents.
Click on the gear icon in the Actions column on the main page, and the DLI popup will appear again, this time showing the Assign Users tab which you can open.
In the Assign Users tab select the desired users (use the filters to find users faster if needed) and click the Apply button:
The selected users have now been assigned to the DLI, and as the final step you will need to generate the line items in the residuals report.
To do so, click the Generate Line Items button, select the appropriate users, and click the Generate Line Items button in the popup window:
Note: The Generate Line Items action creates the DLIs for every selected user that has been assigned to one or more DLIs on the configuration page. If by chance you select a user that has no rules assigned to them, then nothing will be generated for such a user.
Once the DLIs have been generated, you can find them on the Line Items tab of the residuals report page:
To view more detail on a specific user, click the icon in the description column:
A popup window now appears where you can view the complete detail on the DLI, including links to the activated merchants:
If needed, you can also add additional line items in the report manually, to make further adjustments.

Updating or Deleting Dynamic Line Items
To edit a DLI click on the gear icon in the Actions column and edit the settings in the DLI popup:
When you're done, save your changes and then click the Generate Line Items button again.
Assuming that the selected date range has not been altered, the system will delete all previously generated DLIs from the residuals report, and replace them with the new DLIs that have been generated using the new threshold rules.
To delete a DLI configuration click on the Delete icon in the Actions column:
Note that by deleting the DLI configuration you are not also deleting the DLIs that were added to the residuals report based on that configuration.
If you wish to delete the DLIs in the residuals report too, then click the Generate Line Items button again. The system will now delete all previously generated DLIs in the selected period.
Note that the deletion from the residuals report only occurs if there are no assigned users in the selected date range. If there is even one assigned user, then no deletion will occur.
DLI deletion in the residual reports perform in this way does not affect and line items that were added manually directly on the residuals reports page.
