TSYS FSP One-Click & Auto Boarding

Updated

Overview

ISOs can submit a merchant directly from the lead to TSYS FSP using either of the following boarding methods:

  • One-click boarding: Manually submit the merchant to TSYS FSP with a single click from the lead record. This bypasses the standard TurboApp submission process, which requires users to navigate through several TurboApp pages to review, verify, and complete application data manually.
  • Auto boarding: Automatically submit the merchant when the lead moves to a designated status.

Both methods use preconfigured Boarding Profiles and Equipment Templates to provide the processor with information that is not collected directly from the lead record. Before boarding begins, users select the appropriate Boarding Profile and Equipment Template from dedicated dropdown fields on the lead.

When the boarding process starts, Merchant Central combines the selected Boarding Profile and Equipment Template with the lead data and submits the complete application to TSYS FSP.

Prerequisites

Before configuring TSYS FSP one-click or auto boarding, confirm that:

  • You have the TSYS FSP processor enabled in Merchant Central.
  • You have permission to manage TurboApp settings, lead fields, and status triggers.
  • Your TSYS FSP TurboApp fields are mapped to the corresponding lead fields, and any required default values are configured.
  • You have the required TSYS agent and chain information.
  • You have created any equipment configurations that should be included during boarding.
  • For automated NMI Gateway boarding, the appropriate NMI reseller accounts are configured in Merchant Central.

To set up TSYS FSP one-click boarding or auto boarding, create a Boarding Profile and an Equipment Template, then add the Boarding Profile and Equipment Template dropdown fields to the lead.

How does TSYS FSP TurboApp boarding work?

A Boarding Profile stores the TSYS FSP boarding settings that are not populated from the lead record. It works alongside the TurboApp Default Values and provides an additional configuration layer for merchant onboarding.

An Equipment Template stores the equipment configuration that should be included with the application. ISOs can add one or more Equipment Template fields to a lead when multiple devices must be boarded.

When a user initiates one-click boarding, Merchant Central combines the lead data, Boarding Profile, TurboApp Default Values, and selected Equipment Templates before submitting the application to TSYS FSP.

Auto boarding uses the same configuration but begins the submission automatically when a configured status trigger runs.

After a merchant is successfully submitted through one-click or auto boarding, Merchant Central can also initiate NMI Gateway boarding. The selected Gateway Reseller determines which NMI reseller account receives the merchant.

  • Status Triggers: Starts TSYS FSP auto boarding when a lead reaches a configured status.
  • NMI Gateway direct boarding: Automatically creates the merchant under a selected NMI reseller account.
  • Custom Properties: Can automatically populate the Gateway Reseller field based on another selected value, such as the processor.

Boarding Profile and Equipment Template lead fields

A Boarding Profile must be selected before a merchant can be submitted through one-click boarding.

☝️ You can add more than one Equipment Template field to the lead when multiple devices must be included.

Configure equipment quantities

When onboarding a merchant with multiple units of the same equipment, add a separate field to capture the equipment quantity.

  1. Create a new lead field with the Number field type.
  2. Link the quantity field to the applicable Equipment Template field.

  3. Save the lead field configuration.

Users can then select the Equipment Template and enter the required quantity on the lead record.

How to configure automated NMI Gateway boarding

After a merchant is successfully boarded through one-click or auto boarding, Merchant Central can automatically initiate NMI Gateway boarding.

A reseller account must be specified for NMI Gateway boarding to complete successfully.

  1. Go to Manage → Leads → Manage Lead Fields.
  2. Locate the appropriate lead tab.
  3. Click Add/Remove Fields.

  4. Click Add New Field in the upper-right corner.

Select the reseller account during boarding

  1. Open the merchant's lead record.
  2. Select the appropriate account from the Gateway Reseller dropdown.
  3. Submit the merchant through one-click boarding or allow the auto-board trigger to run.

The NMI Gateway merchant account is automatically boarded under the selected reseller account.

Additional considerations

  • You can add more than one Gateway Reseller field to a lead. However, one-click and auto boarding retrieve the reseller account only from the field configured with the Gateway Reseller lead special.
  • NMI Gateway accounts can be managed directly in Merchant Central. See Enable Direct Boarding to NMI Gateway for more information.

How to auto-populate the Gateway Reseller field

Custom Properties can automatically select the appropriate NMI reseller account in the Gateway Reseller field. This removes the need to manually select the reseller account for every lead.

For example:

  • A Custom Property named Processor contains the values Fiserv North, Fiserv Omaha, Paysafe, and TSYS FSP.
  • When a user selects TSYS FSP, Merchant Central should automatically select Demo (AffID: 9155) in the Gateway Reseller field.
Add the Gateway Reseller field to a Custom Property
  1. Open the Processor Custom Property.
  2. Add a new custom field using the applicable Gateway Reseller settings.

  3. Save the Custom Property.
