The pricing templates enable you to automatically fill in your lead pricing fields with pre-defined values, and in this way avoid having to enter the standard prices manually each time.
After a template is created, you can add a special dropdown menu to your lead which shows a list of available templates and allows you to apply the selected template to your lead:
Although the pricing templates are typically used to fill in the lead's pricing fields, you can also use them to auto-fill other types of fields too.

Manage Pricing Templates
To manage your templates open the Pricing Templates page by navigating to Manage > Administration > Leads > Pricing Templates.
On the page you'll find a list of your existing templates and the buttons for creating a new template or managing an existing one:
Add a New Pricing Template
To create a new template on the Pricing Templates page click on the Add New Template button, enter the name of the new template, select the template's visibility and click Add:
Your new template will now appear in the list of the current templates. Use the Delete button to remove the template if needed, and the Edit button to change the template's name or the access permissions:
To configure your templates fields, click Update Fields:
Adding Template Fields
To add a new field, click Add New Field:
In the pop-up which appears select the lead field, assign its value and click Add:
Repeat the above procedure for every lead field that you wish to add to your template.
Checkboxes: enter a value of Yes, 1, or True to have it checked by the pricing template.
Dropdowns: enter the exact text of the desired value shown in the dropdown to have it set by the pricing template. The value entered must match one of the existing options in the dropdown.
Note: if a field is populated by a given template and should be empty when another template is applied, this must be specified for the second template. An example would be when switching from Tiered pricing to Interchange, the Mid Qual Rate field should no longer have a value. This clearing of the field is done by including the same field in the second template, even though it isn't getting an actual value filled in, and having it fill in a "space" or other suitable character to indicate nothing is there, i.e, no fee or rate. Here's a look at a space (highlighted to see it):
When finished, click the Update button and your template fields and their values will be saved:
If you need to update a value in a particular field later on, simply change the field's value and click Update again.
To remove a field from the template click on the × icon next to the field and it will be deleted:
Copy Fields from an Existing Template
If you've already set up a different template that contains similar fields and values as the new template that you're creating, you can speed up the template creation process by copying the fields from the existing template into the new template.
Click Copy Field From Template, select the existing template you're copying the fields from (and optionally the Overwrite existing fields checkbox) and click Copy:
The new fields will now show up in your new template and you can edit them further if needed.
Link Template to a Pricing Format
The Pricing Format dropdown is a special type of lead dropdown which contains a list of standard pricing formats:
When you link one of the Pricing Format drop-down options to a pricing template, and whenever a user applies that pricing template to a lead, then the Pricing Format drop-down on the lead will automatically switch to that pricing format:
To link a pricing format to a template, simply select it in the Link Pricing Format drop-down in your template settings:
Add the Template Selection Dropdown to Your Lead
In order to enable the auto-fill feature on your Llead, you will need to add a Pricing Templates dropdown to your lead form. For more general information on adding new lead fields please see our Manage Lead Fields article.
To create the new Pricing Templates dropdown, go to the tab in which the auto-fill feature will be enabled (typically the Pricing tab) and click on the Edit icon:
Click Add New Field, enter the name of your new field and select Packages (Dropdown) as the Field Type:
Optionally, you can also add an additional Pricing Format dropdown menu which shows the pricing package that was applied to a lead. The "Field Type" option for the Pricing Format dropdowns should be set to Pricing Format (Dropdown):
Your two new fields will now appear as shown in the below image:
A user can now select a pricing template and hit the Apply Template button in order to automatically fill in the prices in the appropriate fields:
Note: if a field is marked Read Only for your user class, the template will still populate the field when applied but will not keep the value when you click Save.
If the pricing template was linked to a specific Pricing Format then the selected format will be automatically shown in the Pricing Format dropdown after the template is applied:
