Overview
Your CRM uses user classes to control what each user can access and perform within the system. A user class defines a specific set of permissions that align with organizational roles—such as Sales Rep, Sales Manager, Support, or Administrator.
The system includes several pre-configured user classes to help you get started, but you can also create custom user classes to match your team’s unique workflows and responsibilities.
Each user class belongs to one of three main types:
- Basic
- Advanced
- Administrator
These types determine which permissions are available for an admin to enable or disable when configuring a user class. This structure ensures that each group receives the appropriate level of system access.
User classes help ensure that team members only see the features and data relevant to their roles, supporting security, clarity, and operational efficiency.
This guide will walk you through how to create new user classes and adjust class permissions. At the end of this article, you’ll find a complete table of all permissions and their descriptions for easy reference.
Creating & Managing User Classes
To create a new user class, follow the steps below:

Navigate to Manage → Users & Groups → User Classes.

Click Add New User Class.
- In the pop-up window:
- Enter a name for the new user class.
- Choose whether to copy permissions from an existing class or select a user-class type (Basic, Advanced, or Admin) to configure from scratch.

Click OK to create the class.
You can manage existing user classes using the options in the Actions column.
Available actions include:
- Delete: Removes the class. If users are assigned, you will be prompted to reassign them before deletion.
- Auto Disable: Defines rules to notify and disable users who have not logged in for a specified number of days.
- Edit Name: Renames the user class.
- Permissions: Opens the permissions editor for the class.
💡 Use the search bar at the top of the permissions table to quickly locate permissions or export the full list to Excel.
Editing User Class Permissions
To adjust permissions for an existing user class:

Locate the class and click Permissions.

Expand each permissions category and enable or disable individual permissions as needed.
- Click Save Permissions when finished.
ℹ️ Selecting the checkbox on a parent section (e.g., “CRM”) automatically selects all permissions within that section.
ℹ️ Basic, Advanced, and Administrator user class types include different default permission sets. Administrator classes have access to all permissions by default.
💡 When configuring an Administrator class, be sure to set the appropriate management scope: full organization-wide management or group-restricted management.
