The Voicemail application integrated into the Dialer is easy-to-understand and allows you to hear your message messages clearly and promptly. It also incorporates a variety of useful features that help you stay organized and connect with contacts and colleagues.
You can check your voicemails by clicking the Voicemail tab at the top of the Dialer application. A notification on the tab will alert you to the number of new messages.
Click the tab to view all your messages. Voicemails are displayed in chronological order with the latest at the top. When opened, the Voicemail tab will default to the All sub-tab which displays your complete list of voicemails -- personal messages as well as voicemails left for any Groups to which you may belong.
Since this user is a member of two Groups (Sales & Support), there are sub-tabs for any voicemails left for those specific groups. There is also a tab for messages left specifically for this user (Me).
Like the blue notification on the main tab, the number in parenthesis denotes only new voicemails. Unplayed voicemails will have the date and time in bold font. Once a voicemail is played the font will revert to a regular (non-bold) style.
Voicemails from leads will link to the lead page and contain the contact name.
To return a call, simply click the hyperlinked number to the right of the phone icon. The number will auto-dial and connect you with your contact or colleague instantly.
To listen to new or old voicemails, click the Play button to the left of the trashcan icon. Once the voicemail is played, it is no longer considered new and the notifications will disappear from the tab.
Once the Play button is clicked, the Player will open and begin playing your message immediately.
The Control buttons are simple and easy to understand:
Volume can be controlled via the scrubber or via the buttons:
You can delete individual emails via the trashcan icon on the far left side of the Player.
Only users with Delete All permissions enabled for their User Class will see the Delete Voicemails button. This button will delete all voicemails with a single click including those in Groups.
