A custom property can be configured to automatically show or hide specific lead fields or tabs when a dropdown value is selected, helping agents to focus only on the necessary lead data.
Example: Hiding the Elavon or Fiserv Lead Tabs
In this example, we'll demonstrate how to dynamically show or hide the Elavon or Fiserv lead tabs depending which processor is selected in the 'Processor' custom property:
Step 1: Access Visibility Settings
- Navigate to Manage > Leads > Custom Properties and click the Add/Remove Values button for the 'Processor' property:
- Click the eye icon next to the Elavon processor to open its visibility settings.
- Toggle the Fiserv tab icon (so it turns red) to hide it when Elavon is selected.
- Save your changes.
Step 2: Configure Visibility for the Fiserv Processor
Repeat the previous step for the Fiserv processor, but this time:
- Disable the Elavon tab instead.
- Ensure the Fiserv tab remains visible.
Additional Customization: Hiding Lead Fields
You can also use the Visibility popup to hide specific lead fields:
- Expand the Hide Lead Fields section:
- Select the fields that should be hidden when a particular dropdown value is chosen.
Step 3: Test Your Configuration
Your setup is now complete! Try it out on the lead page:
- Selecting 'Elavon' in the dropdown will automatically hide the Fiserv tab, while the Elavon tab remains visible.
- Selecting 'Fiserv' will show the Fiserv tab and hide the Elavon tab.
