A custom property can be configured to automatically assign a lead to a specific user or user class based on the selected dropdown value.
Updating Auto-Assign Rules for a Custom Property Value
Follow these steps to modify the auto-assign rules:
- Go to the Custom Properties page: Navigate to Manage > Leads > Custom Properties.
- Click the Add/Remove Values button for the relevant property.
- Edit the auto-assign rules:
- Locate the dropdown value you want to modify.
- Click the pencil icon to edit the Auto Assign rules.
- Save your changes.
- Repeat as needed: Update additional values to trigger user assignments as required.
Once the rules are updated, the system will automatically assign leads based on the selected property value.

A lead was automatically assigned to Scott Dean after the Processor property was set to Elavon.
